Maleris Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Hey guys! I was recently looking at the 50th anniversary flying v. Oh my God! The brimstone finish was so godly. DO you guys think they should make it a norm?
Maleris Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 Heres the link to the picture http://www.gibson.com/en%2Dus/Divisions/Gibson%20USA/Products/GOTM/50YearCommemorativeFlyingV/
deepblue Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Thats a nice colour. Id buy a Lester in the shade for sure.
Mash94 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I love that finish! Especially the Explorer in that color
Tim Plains Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 That is pretty nice, I'd like to see that on a Lester one day. Personally, if I were buying a V, I'd buy this one. http://www.gibsoncustom.com/flash/products/designer/Vfigured/FlyingVstandardFiguredTop.html
NeoConMan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Both very cool. The original is the one to have. I love the 58 with the V tailpiece and controls in a row. Gotta have two tone pots though, I did that mod on an Epi V I used to own. Was a great looking and playing guitar. If I ever get another V, it will have to be PERFECT in function as well as cosmetics. Slim neck, 58 style appointments, a killer flame top would be a nice bonus if Korina wasn't possible.
Fedaykin98 Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Thats a nice colour. Id buy a Lester in the shade for sure. Yep.
