What Gibson is Gwyneth Playing?

That's a CF-100E.

Like the J-160E, it was introduced in the early 1950's. I believe the CF-100E was the predecessor of the J-160E by a few years, too; the CF-100 was introduced in 1950, the CF-100E with electronics in 1951 ( I think), and the J-160E in 1954. Both the CF-100E and J-160E have the P90 pick up and the anvil inlays, but the CF-100E is an LG-2 size body (with cutaway), while the J-160E is a jumbo (what we today would call a slope-shouldered dreadnaught like a J-45, but not a Super Jumbo like the J-200). I have read the CF-100E's have solid tops (the original J-160E's had laminated tops), but I'm not 100% popitive about that.

Thankyou Red....as they say, way ahead of it's time in the 50's.

I wonder if they would reissue it?.....

:-({|=

I think it was reissued by Bozeman in the last 10 years or so.

Fuller's has one with TWO cutaways. I think it was the only one ever made.

At the last Guitar show I attended, Fuller's brought a couple out. They pop up on eBay several times a year. They can be found. I also asked a Gibson Rep at the show if they were planning to make another run, and he said they would make me one any time I wanted.

However, the original question was, "What Gibson is Gwyneth Playing?"

And of course, the answer is "none".

She's no more playing a guitar than I'm acting in a movie.

You dont think Chris Martin and the boys from Coldplay would have shown her a thing or two .. ?
