Lungimsam
Would love to see all those wonderful colors and shapes. Post some neck joint pics too if you have them. Neat to see how they changed over the years. Thanks! Hope to add a pic of my own soon. Anyone got an EB-6? I heard they only made 200 or so (SG shaped?). MrNylon
Thanks for asking for the posts. I know it's only an SG Std. with two choices of a finish, but I just like the Gibson sooooo much better for me than any other bass.
Lungimsam
What other finishes available? I have seen white, and pink, yellow, and black. But I think they are for overseas? I like Heritage Cherry the best anyway (so '60's). Walnut is my runner up.
MrNylon
Tradition should count for some thing. I do agree about the Heritage Cherry. I have seen the other colors. I think it was on the Guitar Center site.
MrNylon
By the way, when you hear about the estimated time of the delivery of your SG, please let us know. We want to get some positive waves working with you on that new bass delivery.
MrNylon
I often wondered how a Tobacco Sunburst would look on a SG Std. bass? Obviously the wood would have to be a lighter shade, not the mahogany. I know you're partial to the walnut. When I was in wood shop in school, I did a lot of projects with walnut. Lungimsam
Here's a regular sunburst 1965 EB3: http://www.flyguitars.com/gibson/bass/1965gibsonEB3.php
MrNylon
Wow! That's different, I've never seen the Sunburst before.
Lungimsam
I don't cotton to it, myself. Something about SG's and bursts don't mix. However, I do think the SG Standard guitar in "Natural" looks nice. That is a burst of sorts...
MrNylon
I would like it in a Tobacco Sunburst. More browns to it, not as bright.
MrNylon
I just looked at mine just now, I'll stay with the Heritage Cherry.
