Hey can you guys help with this, The guy is calling a 57 although checking the date with the Guitar dater project it says 70-71-72 so is it a 57 and is it real?

This Junior actually looks like the real thing to me. The serila is correctly registred with Gibson fro that model.

 

At Gibson we are not sure whether gutiardaterproject wants to do the world a favour or not. Where the info they give on serilals comes from is uncertain, but they surely do not have acess to Gibson's serila number archive. What they unfortunately do at the end of the day is get people confused or even indirectly help fake gutiar vendors to sell their goods. Besides this, Gibson didn't begin to reissue that model AFAIK until a bit later than the early 70's (no earlier than late 70's IIRC, maybe later yet).
