vern_s Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can loosen up the control knobs on my Lester? All four are quite tight so I was wondering if there's a trick to loosening them up? Thanks, Vern
stymye Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 are they hard to turn , or do you mean hard to pull them off the shaft?
DoubleSixx Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I believe they be sprayed with contact spray. I'm sorry I don't know the name or brand off the top of my head. I found this, don't over spray or get the potentiometer too saturated: http://www.radioshack.com/sm-tv-tuner-control-cleaner-and-lubricant--pi-2103700.html Good luck.
Aaresz Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Try DeoxIt Pot & switch cleaner, but be careful of getting it on the finish. The Pot Cleaning Cap helps prevent damage.

vern_s Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Looks like that link is the best choice' date=' thanx for the heads up.[/quote'] Yeah, I'd say that this product would be the thing to use alright, but unfortunately I can't get it shipped into Canada. I'll have to do some research to see if there's a Canadian distributor. The axe is new, so I can’t see it being too dirty yet, but they do need to be lubricated for sure. Thanks a bunch guys! Vern
