freak show
My favorites are: "Christmas Vacation" "A Christmas Carol" (Several of the adaptations are good.) "The Grinch who stole Christmas" "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (I know it's about Thanksgiving, but it's still good for some "Christmas Spirit" .) I watch these almost every year. Andre S
I'm going to have to find A Christmas Story online and maybe How the Grinch stole Chrismas because it does not seem to be showing on local programming.
TommyK
This excludes TV Cartoon Specials, which I don't consider movies. It's a Wonderful Life. * in the original B/W A Christmas Carol * 1999 with Patrick Stewart * 1951 with Alastair Sim A Christmas Story Lampoons Christmas Vacation Home Alone 1 (no others) Roughly in that order. Gilliangirl
Fav movie: A Christmas Carol, the original (old spotty black and white version) Second Fav movie: National Lampoon's Christmas vacation Favourite Christmas TV show: A Charlie Brown Christmas. I have it on VCR (don't laugh) and I watch it every year. I have the whole thing memorized and can speak the script before it even comes out of the characters' mouths, but I still watch it and love it. And I can dance like they do at the Christmas play! (not bragging or anything ) Ftr, I can also do the Elaine Bennis dance...... I'm just really talented that way

ChanMan
I like Holiday Inn, though not technically a Christmas movie, it does feature Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas". I also like A Christmas Story, and Mr. MaGoo's version of A Christmas Carol, which I understand was the first animated Christmas feature. My favorite of the Christmas Live Action shorts, as it were, is Santa Claus is Coming to Town. But who can resist "The Year Without A Santa Claus"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yon2YuXssvo
