TommyK
Just curious: 1: NBC news last night said that the materials were discovered by a gardener who stepped into some of the bomb making materials in the back yard. Did he step on a land mine? What did he step into? 2: Was torching the place over kill? *Any fire will crack and pop.
RobinTheHood
Just curious: 1: NBC news last night said that the materials were discovered by a gardener who stepped into some of the bomb making materials in the back yard. Did he step on a land mine? What did he step into? 2: Was torching the place over kill? *Any fire will crack and pop. From what I've read, the explosive powders that were found were easily set off just by movement. The guy was apparently a hoarder and the house was practically unlivable. The general thinking for burning down the house was that it was so cluttered, they felt there was no way to remove the explosives withour risk of blowing the place up. Something about the explosives would only burn up in a controlled fire instead of exploding. Apparently it is a less risky course of action.
