atj13
I have recently read that some rubber foam padding used on guitar stands is not kind to the Nitro finish. I have a LPJ on the way and the current stand I have has this soft spongey rubber padding, should I buy another stand (they aren't expensive)of just cover the padding with something? All comments appreciated, thanks,
Bender 4 Life
Yeah........just cover the spots where the stand contacts the guitar with some kind of cotton cloth. Some of the other forum members have made permanent covers, but a clean washcloth or polishing cloth will work fine.

I have an A frame stand and used an old pillow case.
