hey guys,

i feel like i want to put a killswitch in my les paul (so i dont ruin the switch).

so, i'm thinking about wiring the volume pot as a MASTER volume, and then adding a switch so i dont have to drill.

my question?

how big is the hole for the knob?

i want to know so i get the right SIZE button.

thanks,

Victor

pots diameter is smaller than switchcraft switch. Depends on what killswtich you want to use.

Switchcraft switch diameter: 7/16" and CTS pot dia: 5/16"

If your thinking is along the line of keeping the original in working order - take it out now and save the original. Put in a replacement and bang away on it. When it gives out replace it with another replacement - all the while the original will be saved and fine and you can always put it back in.
