royster
I;ve finally decided to get a real value of Dad;s old Gibson electrics But, the estimates i've been given are just so far apart, anywhere from $4,000 to well, u wouldn;t believe me! I'm wondering, is there a definitive book on Vintage Gibson guitars that will give me an idea of a real value Even my insurance agent is telling me to get this done! And no, i'm not selling any of them FYI 2 of my Gibsons 1- ES-350- 1950;s? 2- ES-295 1940's? I can see one serial # A-14442 Made in Kalamazoo According to the Blue book of Electric Guitars - 6th edition - the A in the serial # stands for 1935??? this can;t be right Any info on a good book appreciated

Available, in most decent book stores. CB

gregsguitardotnet
The Vintage Guitar guide is just that"a Guide"- Gbase is a good starting point to see what dealers would "like to get" for guitars , of course the real evaluation is what is someone willing to pay, but the above can be a good measuring point, remember though in order to sell you can never ask top dollar pricewise as there always needs to be a little "movement" for the next guy. I can help you if needed, email or PM me here. Greg.
