zebrafirebird
Has anyone ever had one with the short B5 Bigsby? They look pretty cool to me but Id like to know what yall think of them before I buy one. I've never played a V with a Bigsby, but the teles and SG's I've played with them sounded good. They're a decent wang-bar set-up. They're heavy and may make a noticeble difference in the balance. Take a look at Lonnie Mack's set-up for a Bigsby on a V. It's part of his signature tone (a really good tone in my opinion).
Jonny Rash
I have a vibramate/b5 on one of my Flying Vs. It works pretty well. I did have to trim the foot of the vibramate to clear the pickguard though. Make sure you get the short version of the vibramate. Yep, it's a lefty. brundaddy
Looks great! So good to see the B5 for a change, the b6 or b7 or whatever so many V's have looks utterly retarded.
antwhi2001
I know they look great, but Bigsbys are my least favourite trem/vibrato. Try before you buy, I wish I did...I regret drilling the holes in my Tele. If poss, try the feel of the short Maestro, which was Gibsons' choice for the V and good enough for Jimi. Dead easy for string changes, firm responsive action. And very easy to install.
StijnV
Maybe have a look also at the following webpage (no holes need to be drilled for a Stetsbar): http://stetsbar.com/
