slimjimdom Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I've noticed this word being thrown around a bit. With the Robots and BFG's particularly. I understand the 1st run robot and the hand signed Limited BFG I'm mainly speaking in the USA production line though. Is color really something to constitute labeling a guitar "Limited"? Are these guitars really "Limited" or is it more of a marketing buzz word to get these things selling? Thoughts?
elessar820 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 The Limited BFG's are limited to 200 each color. Not sure about the Robots though.

Tim Plains Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 It's limited to how many they can sell... Honestly, there's nothing limited about them it's just marketing. When people hear the word "limited" they think "rare."

That means 200 for that production year?
Tim Plains Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 My guess (and mind you, this is only a guess) is that 200 is the total production...but that won't stop them from producing more if there's a demand.

ChanMan Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Wasn't the original GOTW series supposed to be a "limited run" of no more than 400? Hmmmm

Fedaykin98 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 As I understand it, the original GOTWs were limited to 400 each, and the current series is limited to 1000 each.
