"Limited"

I've noticed this word being thrown around a bit. With the Robots and BFG's particularly.

I understand the 1st run robot and the hand signed Limited BFG I'm mainly speaking in the USA production line though.

Is color really something to constitute labeling a guitar "Limited"? Are these guitars really "Limited" or is it more of a marketing buzz word to get these things selling?

Thoughts?

It's limited to how many they can sell...=P~

Honestly' date=' there's nothing limited about them it's just marketing.

When people hear the word "limited" they think "rare."[/quote']

ding ding ding

look at the reverse v. limited edition...until they sold out in a flash. then gibson made more of them. made the guys who bought the originals very mad because gibson didnt even wait until the following year to start the next batch.

That's exactly what I was saying. I like the way you think Tim.

So when they say limited to 200? That means 200 for that production year?

My guess (and mind you' date=' this is only a guess) is that 200 is the total production...but that won't stop them from producing more if there's a demand. [/quote']

Then that doesn't qualify as limited. I can hear it now, Ah well "Who's counting anyways"
