AS90 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 My Elitist Sheraton arrived with a broken headstock and crushed pots and scratchplate...

AS90 Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 OMG!!! How did that happen?? What a heart break... Was it insured? I got a $690 (£356) refund so its getting a top notch repair job as we speak' date=' its such a bad break it needs carbon fibre inserts and a chunk of mahogony grafted onto the neck. I needed cheering up so I bought this... [img']http://www.squierguitars.com/products/prod_images/guitars/0327602506_md.jpg[/img] http://www.squierguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=0327602506
daveinspain Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 You probably did the right thing... good one :-)
MikeRom Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 That is a serious bummer. I would have returned the thing but I don't know if that's a good option for you. A good repair job will be invisible, please share the after pics.
DoubleSixx Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Wow, sorry to hear you had a bad day. I would've returned for an exchange or refund if there wasn't a replacement. They shipped in that case ? Don't Epiphones come in a cardboard box with minimal packing material ? Good luck.

How do you like it? I demand a full review...Only kidding. Sorry about your busted elitist. That's terrible. I wonder if it was already broken when posted on the bay.

This is the second one I have had, they are great guitars! Imagine that tele twang with a Townshend P-90 growl. The last one I had was pro set up and fret dressed, it was such a great guitar, I dont know why I sold it!?! It has a solid agathis body and a lovely maple neck, I dont know how Fender let the guys in the Squier department get away with this one, I'd have it over any Mexican Tele any day.

Thundergod Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I think I remember you fixed a SG a while ago and it ended up great... hope this one comes out as good. And congratulations on the other guitar!
AS90 Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 I think I remember you fixed a SG a while ago and it ended up great... hope this one comes out as good. And congratulations on the other guitar! The SG was a diagonal break so it was a fairly straight forward glue and clamp job, this break has very little surface area to glue so its way over my head.
AS90 Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 That's too bad.......that you got a Tele. Teles are great, so are strats!
