miurasv Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I'm interested in buying a 1995 LP Standard that I haven't seen yet and I wondered if '95 was a good or bad year for Gibson Manufacture? Also is there anything that an unplayed 15 year old LP may be showing signs of its age like a warped neck or cracks to the body etc? Will the electronics need any maintenance? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Tim Plains Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 No such thing as good or bad years. I don't understand why people think this way. You should play and inspect that guitar before buying.
bgfthntr Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I agree that the year doesn't really matter. However I do have a 1995 Les Paul Standard as has been my main electric since 1996 when I bought it used. Before then I was a die hard Strat player since 1981. This guitar just sings to me and I love and will NEVER sell it. So for what it's worth my '95 is a good one (at least to me). Jim
