Last12bars Posted December 31, 2010 Share Posted December 31, 2010 I'm fortunate enough to own a Les Paul Standard and a PRS Custom 22. The PRS has a single volume pot that is very easy to control when playing, with a progressive volume reduction throughout the control's taper. On the Les Paul, however, the volume controls have to be rolled off to about 80% of their travel before the volume starts to reduce and then it decreases very quickly. I think this may be something to do with the use of linear or audio pots; however, how can I modify one or both of the volume controls on the Les Paul to give the sort of gradual volume reduction that I get on the PRS?
