T Bone Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 I got the group together for a family shot today, before one of mine leaves the nest (the NIB Gold Top 50's Tribute will be on the block shortly, unboxed today only for photos and function check). So I gathered the 5 and took a few shots. My 3 50's Tributes in the front row, with the Classic Antique and Robot Les Paul Jr. Special in the back row. Ended up playing the Robot, she's been put away in the case for some time. Man, what a great sounding and feeling guitar! Love the ebony fretboard.

Tim Plains Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Cool guitars. Ever thought about getting an R4/R5/R6 since you're obviously a P-90 guy?
T Bone Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 Cool guitars. Ever thought about getting an R4/R5/R6 since you're obviously a P-90 guy? Yep, I have. An R6 to start. Maybe. But then, the collection is rather "P90 heavy" at the moment, so I'd also considered an R7. I want my first Historic to be a gold top, so one of those two. Initially planned to do it right after selling one of the gold top 50's Tributes, but work is again scarce and I've been going through money like water, so... it may wait a bit longer. I am certain within a year or two, I will have a Historic of one flavor or another.
BigKahune Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Whoa ! ? How'd that Classic with buckers get in there with all those P90s ? HA ! . . . Nice collection. No family pic here, but I got a couple singles - Gibson Les Paul Push Tone Epi Les Paul Ultra II - with nanomag acoustic pup and dual outputs.

But dont even get me started on your Gibson LP Push-Tone....such a beautiful guitar with that antique finish and top as well, very practical as well and wish Gibson had that option available on more guitars...really dig it man.. PS: Just noticed the Vibrato..did you install that your self..? Looks really nice. I've always wanted a kahler-type vibrato on a LP...

RudeDog Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Well I never thought of doing a family shot, each one is pretty individualistic!! Anyway, only one Les Paul, I think an SG is in the future also, some decent company though. OK so I saw all the Honey Burst 60's tribute's out there and had to get one, the hard way. I found a brand new in the box, that had been dropped and the peghead was completely broken off on E-BAY, first time I ever won something I bid on that was not fraudulent. So I got it in the factory box, the top looked like and accordian and I set about reattaching the peg head. Long story short, Looks great plays great, stays in tune, got to love it.!! Before and after pics attached. Also had 2 new additions to the family that I built, a PRS Clone and a Stevie Vai JEM Clone
