1Casey1
Hi All, I'm trying to determine if there is any truth to the rumor the Masterbilt Series are shipped back to Gibson's facility for a Quality Assurance inspection before before being shipped out to the vendors to be sold? TimLahey
My new Masterbilt has a sticker that says it was inspected in the US. I'm not sure what credibility or significance that has.

cunningham26
My new Masterbilt has a sticker that says it was inspected in the US. I'm not sure what credibility or significance that has. my guess is, going from pete's quote, is that they do a random sampling for QA, since the more particular check is done overseas. Just out of curiosity, why do you ask? I think it settles some people's minds, but i dont think most people are on the fence about an epi, see that sticker, and march to the register. to me at least, it doesnt seem like a major selling point. to answer ccannon, in the early japan days the epi blue labels listed kalamazoo, mich because that was epiphone/gibson HQ. they would usually still say "Made In Japan" somewhere on there and the label itself has come to indicate that it's an Aria/Epiphone guitar made at matsumoku
