Dalron Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 There are so many contradictions in the description and the seller's answers to questions: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320289480868&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=011
retrosurfer1959 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Fake three screw trussrod cover = obvious fake and it's a bad fake at that. there is more than one guitar in the pics! he is selling it regretfully because he needs money, horsecrap he has three of them for sale right now
ckledzepplin Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 100% fake - 3 screw truss rod - wrong tuners - wrong finish - wrong knobs they actually posted a pic of a real one in the 2nd picture down
Dalron Posted August 23, 2008 Author Posted August 23, 2008 Thanks for taking the time to reply, guys. I thought it was too good to be true. Cheers.
slimjimdom Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Sheesh someone should tell these people to stop bidding! And they have the nerve to post a photo of the actual 59 and you can see its not the same guitar they're trying to sell.
whiteshields1830 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 cant contact the bidders theyre buying a lemon. Not after ebay put private bidders as the norm.
Dalron Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 I (as well as several of my friends) have reported it to eBay but of course eBay does nothing.
iownanlps Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I asked the seller the following; Why does the description with photograph look different to the actual guitar you are selling? For example your guitar has a 3 x screw fixed truss rod cover and different tuners. The reply is; which photo do u mean? - allenterprizes I am amazed that the someone is prepared to pay for this fake! It only takes a few clicks to figure out it is a fake.
Dalron Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 The listing's been deleted. Wonder if eBay did that or the seller got cold feet. I hope someone didn't offer him the 3000 he wanted.
Thundergod Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 I guess people that are bidding on that one deserve to buy it and find out it is a fake afterwards... 'cause if they dont ever find out they will die thinking they made the deal of their life, and that would be unfair. Im sick of this guys... thinking they can get a real guitar for less than 1/4 of the price... what are we then... morrons? At least the item has been removed by ebay...
Flight959 Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Another fake....Bet the QC is better than Gibson's though. Even the questions on the listing are fake.... Flight959
kubog Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Listing no longer avaliable. Thank god, another musician saved
