I'm sure they're plugged in. While Madonna isn't known as a guitar player, she's one helluva talent with plenty going on without having to pick up a guitar just to make some sort of fashion statement (although that very well might be part of what's going on). I don't think it would have been much of a stretch for her to learn to play guitar.

I went to one of her concerts back in the 80's (I was the only guy there with long hair and wearing a Motley Crue t-shirt) and I was fully prepared to hate the show (my buddy begged me to go because he had to take his girlfriend). But, I gotta tell you, she is an awesome performer and put on a great show.

I noticed the Orange amps website makes a big deal about her plugging in to custom Orange amps. Then they show her meatball of a guitarist with a white Orange head and cab as well. There go my dreams of an all white Orange setup.

WHATS THE WORLD COMING TOO!!!! Madonna with a Gibson? Whos next? Hannah Montana??? NOO!!!![-X

Maybe you wrote this because you already know Hannah Montana plays a gibson... She plays a Gibson acoustic...

Actually, HM is ok for my 7 year old girl. It's the Jonas Brothers that I think are pretty bad. And yes, they play Gibson les pauls.

When one of my coworkers saw a pic of my Custom he said "Oh that's the same guitar as the guy from the Jonas Brothers." I wasn't familiar with the band's name but I had a feeling that it was "that kids band" so I angrily responded, "Who the hell are the Jonas Brothers?"

Hearing that from my coworker made me feel a bit sick.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the Gibson forums!

Unfortunately I don't own a Gibson, they're too expensive for me, but they're awesome guitars for sure!

now about the topic, just to clear this up:

since when you have to be a guy with facial hair, long hair, tattoes and earrings to get a Gibson??

What's up with that "oh she can't be playing a Gibson" thing?!

Like it or not, Madonna is a HUGE star on this planet and Gibson would not like to miss the opportunity on this one!

Second of all, Madonna has started playing guitar in 2000. Monte Pittman is her teacher and guitar player since then.

He's also the guitar/bass man in a group called "Prong" and also in "Citizen Vein". Both of these groups are rock/metal.

Orange does make custom amps for him and for Madonna

Saying that Madonna's guitar is not plugged and that she only knows 2 chords to play, it's just silly.

If you don't like her songs fine, but don't say things that have no logical base.

The great thing about Madge is that shes way ahead of the game but the playing guitar thing doesn,t work for me. As far as is she playing live then I think she is because you can hear her JUST. The problem is that the more she plays guitar the less time shes got to rummage in her pants and thats got to be a bad thing.

Dear Wild Rose,

Please do not have a 'sense of humour failure'. It was just a joke. Mrs. Ritchie has nothing to prove to any of us.

Have a Coke and a smile, Brotherman... =D>
