First 52 BFG Limiteds.

I know a few other people here have a BFG Limited, does anyone have one of the first 52? I don't know where the serial number is written, but I noticed a "3" stamped along the edge of the control cavity. That's not it, is it?

The serials are on the headstock

The first 52 of each limited color are hand numbered. I was wondering if they were on the back of the headstock or somewhere else.

Back of the headstock as far as I know.

You're talking about the ones Les Paul signed, or wrote in the s/n, right?

The numbered ones, Les signed the regular colors.

Those are pretty cool, but the Limited colors, like mine and yours are numbered too, does yours have a number on the rim of the control cavity under the cover?

I don't know if it does or not. I can't check right now since its off getting some tech attention.

Dam... $4000 for a BFG??? I can think of 10 or 20 other Les Pauls I would spend that kind of monwy on first... Nice looking guitar though...

Yeah. That's crazy, I wouldn't either. For $4000 I'd like the guitar to be at least finished. Back to the original topic, I emailed Gibson last night and they told me that the first 52 are signed by Les. Musiciansfriend.com says otherwise: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Gibson-Limited-Edtion-Les-Paul-BFG-Electric-Guitar?sku=516289 . I guess I don't have one of the first 52 since I don't have anything hand written anywhere on my guitar. I don't feel as bad for adding a few finishing touches now.
