ES 175 P90 Switch Problem

Hello Everybody.

I Bought in July 2008 an ES 175 with P90 pickups. Great sound and very satisfying guitar.

Unfortunately I noticed a problem six month a go with a strange shock that appeared sometimes when I was playing with neck pickup and neck+bridge pickup switch position. The shock was not appearing with bridge pickup position.

At the beginning this shock appeared while picking G and B strings between 8 and 12 frets. Then disappeared and appeared again in following weeks. After one month this shock was constant when picking all strings in every fret.

I tried to play with amps, to test guitar at different volumes, tones, with normal and drive amp channel (normally I'm Playing with drive channel).

So I changed switch with a new original one. Guitar was ok since last week (two month after replacing switch) and again the same shock with same behaviour with same pickup combination (neck and neck+bridge pickup).

Now I'm a little bit upset: I need to change again the switch.., for second time in 6 month...

Anyone noticed this problem? How did he solve it?

Is really the switch or something else causing this problem?

Thanks in advance for replies and sorry for my Italian-English!

Finally, I probably found what is the problem.

The problem is due to the tone pot of neck pick up. While using pot at 10, no shock is occurring. When I'm using below 10, problem is occurring.

My next problem is to find what is the right pot to install and the right capacitor/condenser

bye

After Dismunting tone pot, I found that condenser was bad welded and disconnected. After welding shock disappeared.
