neilpanda Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 hmm, WOW I understand what a lot of guys mean by epi making cheap copies of gibbys guitars, and I understand that they want to make the same guitars available to the public for a lower price but, this is ridiculous. but who knows? it could be another one of epi's 'good guitars' but here, take a look. http://www.epiphone.com/news.asp?NewsID=2000
neilpanda Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Theres already a topic on this dude. hey, with all the crashes and how busy Ive been lately, I havent seen it ye- oh wait nevermind
tartanbeastie Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Lots of talk about these on the epi forum, have to say they look very good and quality woods in the manufacturing. nice touch having the ebony fretboard. I would seriously consider one.
neilpanda Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 meh, Im actually looking for an epi es295. I wish they didnt discontinue it
damian Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Theres already a topic on this dude. Six threads, actually..............and yes, they are the real deal, and yes, I'm getting one as well........ .........
BigKahune Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 This party started days ago on some other threads. Glad you finally noticed. B)
TommyK Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Oh, quit your whining. It's the affordability and concomitant volume of these lower price point guitars that keeps the company as a whole viable. Without them, Gibsons would probably not be made. Or, if they were, a four figure price would be a pipe dream. I would, however, like to see more historic Epiphone specific, solid body guitars made, like the Scroll. The Wilshire was a step in the right direction.
tartanbeastie Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 dare i say it but the more i read over the specs.. the more i prefer the epi!!
cabba2203 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I like those a lot. I might pick one up too.
RobinTheHood Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 dare i say it but the more i read over the specs.. the more i prefer the epi!! No doubt. Poplar vs. Mahogany Rosewood vs. Ebony Standard vs. Custom The only thing I like better about the Gibson are the AAA maple tops.
