truetone6
I changed the plastic on my '94 R7 to black, now it looks like Snowy's guitar, well like it used to look 30 years ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3TuSNhFx88 Now Snowy's guitar is a bit more road worn than mine. ibis
Interesting. I did the same! In my case its my 2005 R7 GT. I've had a fetish for Goldtops ever since seeing Snowy play with Lizzy in the early 80s, so it was pre-ordained that I'd change the plastics when I got an R7. I used black DiMarzio pickup surrounds, as they had the appropriate depth and picked up a relic'd, period correct pickup selector ring (more expensive than it had any right to be) . I put a standard black OEM jack socket plate on because I've never enjoyed playing live with the thin, historically accurate plate it came with and I didn't want to pony up big$ for an unseen 2cent part. I guess I'm cheap at heart. Its nice to find another Snowy GT fan!!
