EvanPC Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I'm going to go with this one. The other is just a stand-up bass, no? Then again, the below guitar may not be referred to as a guitar either...To hear some acoustic groove/funk/awesomeness, skip to about 2:35
damian Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 making the operated pieces of equipment started over the metal case to end the direct touch on the buttons as well as movement. I'd like some green eggs and spam please.......
TommyK Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Andy McKee is playing what is called an Arch Guitar or some people call it a Harp Guitar. Lidsay Mac is playing a cello. This is the biggest one I've seen: According to http://broadwaymusicco.com/harmony.htm it is 9 foot tall and absolutely functional. It was made as a promotional display item by the Harmony Company in 1970. The Harmony Guitar Company ceased operations in 1975 and all equipment, supplies, parts and completed guitars were sold at auction. No word as to whether this behemoth was among the auction items. I would really, REALLY, love to know the whereabouts of this guitar. Reports say that even though it was 'functional', the tone was kind of dead and quite low, as expected.
Tman5293 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 No. This the largest guitar in the world. In fact, this guy builds his regular size guitars inside of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC-49GnjdTE
FirstMeasure Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Might want to skip ahead to the end, there's a lot of unnecessary build up to the big guitar at the end, which also has a big pick up made by Seymore Duncan. Peter Frampton plays along with it.
