I've heard jazz cello before, but usually played like a "bass." An odd thought, though... Loopers are great fun since they became really good in the mid 00's, I'm currently enjoying the potential for enhancing a band's sound Cellos for me personally are a challenge to place in the 'popular' mix I can listen to folk fiddle all day And a well placed cello in a symphony or string quartet has a powerful voice..... V (Icon Enhanced) Any yet the cello has been used in many classic rock recordings. ELO's use of the cello was great. I'm surprised it's not used more..
