May I introduce you to the newest member of the family.......1953 Gibson CF-100, with just enough mojo to keep it interesting.......What a nice guitar......VERY even across the strings, with GREAT bass for a guitar that is the size of an LG Gibson. VERY sweet sound. I've been playing this non-stop since I got it, and am now feeling it is a wonderful guitar and wanted to share with the group.....This one varies from the CF-100E that has a P-90, causing the sound hole to shift down a bit, P-90 uses electric guitar strings. Here are the specs:

CF-100 specs:

14 1/8" wide (LG sized), pointed cutaway, solid "X" braced spruce top with scalloped braces, solid mahogany back and sides, teardrop pickguard, upper belly bridge (belly towards soundhold), bound rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, trapezoid fingerboard inlays,Pearl logo, crown peghead inlay., sunburst finish. The only 1950s Gibson flat top with a cutaway. I've got it strung with D'Adario 11's

DSCN0136.jpg

Guitar of choice for Leon Redbone, I think Jackson Browne has 3 of them.

Wow - was it local or long distance, did you get to play it first?

Cool picture of Dylan, have

never seen him play this guitar before.

Congratulations OWF! It looks to be in great shape too. Yes, once you read through the instruction manual of that Q3, we'll be looking forward to some sound clips. I haven't got mine yet, btw.

Enjoy the new toy! [thumbup]
