More fun with cardboard

So I got out the cardboard slitter and cut up the box (instead of throwing it out) and made an insert to support the body of the LP Junior. I had done something similar a few weeks ago, but didn't cut the "pattern" out too good. I took the case printed image on the box and cut it so it fit and stuck a little extra cardboard behind the "body" for extra support. It worked good.

If the guitar is in direct contact with the cardboard, a long drive in the car might damage the guitar's finish. The vibration could cause the cardboard to rub against the guitar, actually "sanding" it. That's why furniture has to be so carefully protected in moving vans.

It's not going to move. It fits nice and snug. Perfectly actually. Thanks for your concern though.

My Les Paul Traditional Pro fits so snugly in the case that I have to push it in (gently) in order for it to be all the way in. I don't think there is any room for cardboard in my case.

I did save the styrofoam neck support from the Epiphone box to use when I work on the guitar.

I saved the whole box('s). Other guitars that have no case (non Epiphone):( are happy enough in there :)
