jrseriel Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I have a martin dreadnought model and my bass player dropped the bass on my guitar leaving a dent and at the bottom a crack what do I do
Big Bill Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 First, I would slap your bass player up side the head. I would take it to a luthier and have them repair it.
damian Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Pics always help to help us help, and we like pics anyways !!!!!.....always have insurance.....and, you might try posting this same thread in the "Acoustic" forum........

damian Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 kill the bassist, steal his wallet and buy a new guitar Better yet, have the singer do the dirty work.......We have recently seen this done.......... .............
Steven Tari Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I just went thru that with a 12 string. If the crack is not to big they might be able to do something. The whole underside of the soundhole to the Bridge caved in and the bridge broke in 4 pieces. The way the guitar was put together I was told by 3 people who work on guitars to buy a new one. The damage was to bad. Hope you can get yours fixed.
EvanPC Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I would head over to the acoustic guitar forum and ask those guys. acousticguitarforum.com There are super knowledgeable people there. World class luthiers, players, and all-around acoustic freaks. I'm sure they could tell you precisely what to do. Or...post in the acoustic section here. Sucks to hear about the guitar though. Good luck.
