I tried to look it up in gibson.com, but it did not really help me. Thanks Hi there, couple of questions if thats okay? Did you buy it new? If so talk to the dealer (make sure you have your receipt safe at hand)and stick to your guns if they are not helpful.if you have not paid fully for it, dont pay any more money until they answer your questions. How old is it? If it was new, how was the price compared to other stores/online stores? Also try facebook (the Gibson page) you should get some help there, 6 digits sounds very Unusual I would have thought 9 would be more the norm. Good luck and keep us posted, Cheers,

ivxxlxxxv Posted February 16, 2011 Posted February 16, 2011 hey guys i had the same question. i just recieved an email back from gibson...This model has a serial number scheme similar to the Les Paul Classic. The first 2 digits tell the last 2 digits of the year(10=2010). The remaining digits would be the ranking number for the factory(not indicative of number produced). Thanks again, and I hope this helps!
