ics1974
I really want a flying V but I like to play sitting down allot. Is it hard to play sitting down compared to other Gibson’s? Unfortunately I can't find one to test in my town.

Majkel
Simple, but imho the wings get narrow pretty quickly so for me the bridge gets kind of high up and away from my normal playing position... definately a stand up guitar compared to other V's for me. Also a little footstool really helps, same as for any V...
L5Larry
The only way I've found to play Flying V sitting down is to hold the guitar such that your right thigh is inserted into the "V". The rubber strips on the bottom wing are useless.

cabba2203
Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K2T5I5VB_0 Yup, that's it. real simple. I find the bridge is at a comfortable location sitting, as it hangs almost the same spot when I stand. I like it just a bit lower standing. LOL - I dunno, I learned guitar on a Flying-V, so it's natural to me.
dem00n
Also if your a classical guitar player it should feel right at home! Well close to home...
ics1974
Thanks for the input guys. I just didn't know if they felt awkward sitting down or not.

Mastodude
I have the GOTW silverburst V, and love playing with that sitting down. Really enforces the straight back, proper sitting.
flying_v
I highly recommend the V - I have played all sorts of guitars over the years, after I got my V I found every other body style hard to hold and play sitting down! I also recommend just "ordering" one...I have never got a guitar I didn't like that I ordered i.e wasn't hanging on the shelf!
