New ZW plus models

I was reading the product description on the new Zakk Wylde LP Plus models and they dont mention the maple top. I commented on it on Epi's facebook thread and the guy from Epi told me that they never had maple tops. I own a bullseye and a camo and they both have maple tops. I gutted both of them to put new electronics in. Am I just crazy or is this just another example of Epi's customer service(and probably all of Gibson/Epi's executives) not having a clue?

I would say the latter.

Whether is has one or not, website retailers I have seen, have listed it as having a maple top.

So I'm with you.

THEY are crazy!!! [confused]

Definitely agree with the above ^

Quote from the Musicians Friend description of the guitar:

"You'll get plenty of crisp attack from the maple top, warm sustain from the mahogany body, and easy playability from its deep-set maple neck."

Sounds like Epiphone needs some newer reps with proper brain function... or at least some know how as to what they actually put into their products!

As for the plus not having a maple top, or rather, them not mentioning it signals to me they're not thinking about changing the wood type put into the guitar any-time soon.
