How to clean a ES-333

Hello,

I have a ES333. I cannot be sure what model it is exactly since I bought it second hand. The S/N is 00353774. The finish is wooden color. Looks similar to the John Lennon Revolution Casino or the natural antique. I am not sure about what is the official name of the finish or even the model.

There is a stain in the area where the elbow stands on the guitar. As I am not sure of the finish or the model I’m a bit worried about how to clean it. All these models come with nitrolaquer finish? therefore I can clean with the same product than any other Gibson?. Or this natural wood finish is different and requires a different treatment?.

I made the question to the product support department but did not receive any answer [sneaky]

Thanks for any expert help you can lend.

If the stain is on the finish, which will be nitro, then naptha can be safely used. If the stain is due to the finish being worn off, and gunk is in the wood grain, it will likely always be there :(
