misfit Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I found a 1980 solid body Gibson 335-S Firebrand Standard double cut away for $800.00. It looks to be in awsome condition except for some pic rash. I can't seem to find much info on this guitar. I'm not familiar with what Firebrand means. Any one have one or can comment on weather this is a good buy? Thanks, George
Twiz Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 George, get it! Those guitars are cool. Gibson made the firebrand right around the early 80's. They actually burned the Gibson logo into the headstock...hence the name. They were (I think) walnut. -That with the pups made for some good tone. Remember, you gotta post photos if you get it. Good luck.
