meanstreak Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 what a beauty! 1965 Epiphone Frontier rope n' cactus in amazing condition!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180610981659&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
brians356 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 You won't need $7550, it's an "or Make Offer" auction. The Buy-it-Now price is roughly twice the top VG Price Guide value. Granted, it's probably the best Frontier on the planet, but still, Norm will obviously take less, maybe much less. I've met Norm and seen some of his collection, he's got a lot of choice examples of most every guitar of interest, but his auction starting prices have tended to be, shall we say, a tad optimistic? Brian Ya, I offered him $100 but he said no!
brians356 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 The 2010 VG Price Guide top value for this is $3100. So even if you double that for "best on the planet" condition (someone might!) $7550 is still way over the top, especially for an Epiphone, and a model that almost nobody really cares about. Hope springs eternal? Brian
mooseguy Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Brian I asked Norm what he was smoking when he priced this guitar Moose
brians356 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Whatever he smokes, he lights it with hundred dollar bills.
mooseguy Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Brian The $100 bills must be from some idiot who doesn't know any better Moose
brians356 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Hey, Norman lowered the asking price to $7,499,99! At this rate, he will be down to high book value in 5 years. So this is obviously just a waiting game now. Brian
CAMELEYE Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 With a 1 5/8" neck that would take some getting used to.
mooseguy Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 With a 1 5/8" neck that would take some getting used to. Not if you are willing to spend $7,499 Moose
