It could be an R9, photos i found online look alot like it, and the serial number starts with a 9. Heres the number...If you could tell me year, model, which factory ect. That would be great. 992022 Thanks

pippy Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Hi and welcome to the forum. Pictures are essential. That number could belong to any number of instruments made over the last 40 or 50 years. Looking forward to seeing them. I dont believe LP models that are later than this had only 6 digits in the serial number-my LP std has a 9 digit serial no and its a 2006 Re-issues and the now discontinued '1960 Classic' Les Pauls have shorter serial numbers than the regular USA production instruments. These can range from 4 digits - in the case of those '1960 Classic' Pauls made in 1989 - up to 6 digits in the case of the recent and current re-issues. P.
