I would ask how "somewhat" high the action is, and how much saddle is left above the bridge. It probably needs a neck reset. A simple check of the FON number on the neck stock will give the exact year of production, the early ones are more collectable, and this guy is again vague. That larger pickguard, usually, means a later 50's production. But this one seems like a strange bird with the short fret board.

Since the movie "Country Strong" with Gwynyth Paltrow playing one these guitars, looks like it drove up the prices on these guitars. Now everyone is trying to "cash in" on them. It's really a nice guitar, but not worth what they're asking here. Just my $.02!
