AnneS
So I mentioned in another thread that I had recently seen a CL ad, tempting one and all to buy the guitar because it had been recently tuned. Just picked this out of a local ad for a 60's era Martin--no model/body descriptions, mind you, but there is this sage observation: "With strings kept changed about every 4 months this guitar should last a lifetime." So...a string change for yer guitar is like an oil change for your car?! Well, I'll be...a girl can learn somethin' new every day.

Aitch
I saw an ebay listing this past weekend that had "Just put on a new set of strings!" in the description on a fairly expensive guitar. I'm guessing that $5 set of strings is what's gonna nudge somebody over their temptation limit to buy that $2500 guitar.
