LarryBlue Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 I am looking at a '72 SG Custom with Bigsby, but it has that nasty front mounted control plate so the components are not mounted directly on the wood of the body. This was only done from mid 1971 through mid 1972 because it was so darned unpopular on the Customs. Does anybody have any idea how much this detracts from the actual value of the guitar? thanks.
