Epiphone LTD ED G-400 Quilt?

I played an Epiphone at a Best Buy that played great and I'm really considering buying, but I can't find it anywhere other than the store. The description on the tag is Epiphone LTD ED G-400 Quilt and priced at $449. I can't find this guitar anywhere other than Best Buy. I did get the serial number which is 10071511724. I might just end up buying the floor model, but I wanted to check the specs online, first, and see if I can find any information on it. So, here I am.

Anyone know the model or any places that sell it online?

Hi Welcome to the forum. [biggrin]

Unfortunately, I am not an expert on all the different models of Epi', I did however run your serial numbers through and came up with ZIP. Bummer!

Is this the guitar

If so, there is certainly nothing like that currently available on the Epiphone website, the closest I could find was the Epi' SG Prophecy which is an Upmarket rather "metal guitar" version of the G400

Welcome to Da Forum, also.

If the pic that bigneil posted IS the git you speak of, it's

Gorgeous!!!!

Manually decoding the serial Number produces:

10 - 2010

07 - July

15 - Qingdao, China

11724 - Production run #

I can find PICTURES of it online, but the only "Seller" I can find so

far is on Ebay, and it's a FACTORY SECOND....

If it's a GIT your seriously want, you may have to return to BEST BUY and

grab it - at this time, the Best Buy site doesn't even SHOW it as a "For Sale"

guitar (unless I missed it).

Yep, that's the one (in both replies). I've never seen one like it before prior to Best Buy. I did see the eBay auction last night, but there's something weird about the serial number - it looks like a sticker...

Anyhoo...yeah, I might just go grab it. It played very well.

Well, it truly is a gorgeous looking guitar, you say it plays well. as for the value of it, well, a guitar is only ever worth what a person is willing to pay for it. Personally, I would buy it if I was looking for a nice unusual SG that's not going to cause serious strain on my bank account.

If you do decide to pull the trigger then I hope you will pop back in and post a review and some nice pictures. we do like a bit of "guitar porn" around here ;)
