57classic
A real loss. I enjoyed his playing. I don't know any musician who appealed to all audiences or had their entire catalog loved by even their most ardent supporters. He was dynamic and will be missed. Silenced Fred
I saw this at MLP and is pretty floored. As much as I give it to Steve, Gary is a great player. Sad to hear, at least it seems he passed in his sleep. Still a sad day
SG FAN
I was a little iffy on his playing, but he was a legend. RIP Mr. Moore. I feel for ya' Steve. He may be gone, but the music will live forever:)

Duende
An Irish online paper has just confirmed it to on Twitter as well as several other online magazines too He was/is only 58 too, this is very sad if true - and yes, my heart goes to Steve here - as I know how special he is to him. Kiwi
Wow, that sucks. He was one of the main reasons that I got into Thin Lizzy all those years back and actively started listening to classic rock... Very skilled guitarist, one must admit. I can't find any official sources though, so what did he die from? Makes you wonder when he was only 60-ish. RIP Gary Moore. I wonder how Steve's gonna take this
