brothermerry
Hi guys, I bought this guitar around 5 years ago (and have enjoyed it thoroughly) but it never occurred to me that it might be an unusual colour. The other day I was curious what the shade might be officially named and to my surprise couldn't find it. No reference to this particular limited edition guitar anywhere. That's where I was hoping someone here might be able to help! I'm really after any details at all, seeing as there are none on the net that I could find. Is this a rare colour for an Epi Explorer? The best I could describe it as would be similar to silver, perhaps just a suggestion of gold. It's shiny and the same finish covers the back of the neck all the way up to the headstock. It was bought in Australia in 2005 or 2006. The serial number is U04013005. These are just the photos I have on my laptop - I can get more if it might help. Thanks! RobinTheHood
The pics make it look green, but I'm guessing that is from the yard or garden. Anyway, its most likely a '58 Explorer in Pewter. A special run color made in 2003 or 2004, I believe. Heres an Epiphone press release pic of your guitar. Very nice guitar, BTW.
