django75 Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Since one year I bought a SG standard 2009, amazing guitar but the neck is very big and fat!!.....last week I play a 1996 SG standard in a shop....that neck was a bit smaller than my SG.....I like it. colin4195 Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Thats unusual. I have an '08, and I have never played a better feeling neck. not to thick or narrow. Theres just enough wood for me to be able to mute the E and A string with my thumb when needed, and to have great manuverability. I guess you just got unlucky.
