guitargreg1993
hey everyone, what products would you recommend for my SG faded?? I don't believe I would need any finish polish right? since it doesn't have a nitro/gloss finish... but what about for the fretboard? what types of stuff do y'all use to keep the fretboard in good condition? anything else that I would need that I've forgotten? maybe cleaner for the hardware or something?? thanks! lespaulj45
I use a Gibson product called Gibson Reisue Restoration Kit- a cream polish, fretboard conditioner, and a metal parts light abrasive cleaner-also use a product named "Flitz" for polishing pickup covers-I have had very good luck with these products
Artie Owl
Dunlop lemon oil for rosewood fretboards seems to work as well and it comes with a useful applicator right on the bottle, just don't overdo it. Maybe once a year or so to work out the grimey dead skin and such.
