Tim Plains
Which USA Silverburst? There have been Studios and Standards...and what do you mean by "stand up to the others"? Silverburst is just a colour. It's like saying how does Iced Tea sound compared to black?
Opiate
I have been looking for some time at getting a les, but just now am getting the money. how does the silverburst usa stand up to the others? is it worth the price? I picked up a LP Studio Silverburst and I loved it the moment i played it. It has amazing tones and the sustain is like nothing I've ever played. It was worth every penny I spent on it. Hope this helps.
Opiate
That's pretty much any Les Paul, not just the Silverbursts. Its just a color and depending on the model its the same as all the others in that model range. I know Guitar Center has a Silverburst Studio with splitable pups and a 60's fast neck and comes with a HSC, very cool guitar. Yeah was just stating that it sounds great and that theirs nothing wrong with it because its silverburst. I know back in the 80's when the first silverbursts came out people complained about the metallic flake in the paint changing the tone of the guitar which is why they discontinued making them in that color for along time. I may be wrong but it seems I remember reading that. Also I wasn't aware until I was playing it at GC that the silverburst studio is actually a studio deluxe.
