Riptide
I'm looking for a overdrive with good bass response I want to get one of these but I'm open to other stuff as well. OD-3, BD-2, Open Road or Full Drive 2 I'm playing a Epi '56 Goldtop Reisue and my SD-1 sounds great on the brige pick up but when I use the neck pick I'm not getting a desireable amount of gain on the low end. surfpup
Of the ones stuff on my board now, the LovePedal Eternity has the most low end. I think the one that I have owned with the most low end was the VooDoo Labs "Overdrive". They don't make these anymore, but the pop up on eBay pretty often and are reasonable (about $75) generally. Californiaman
Then the Way Huge Green Rhino is the pedal for you. Here: Way Huge Green Rhino and here: A Green Rhino Followed Me Home
Silenced Fred
Then the Way Huge Green Rhino is the pedal for you. Here: Way Huge Green Rhino and here: A Green Rhino Followed Me Home Told you. That thing rocks. I don't think any overdrive on the market speaks to me as much as this one does. Damn not having money...
Californiaman
Fred I'm sure the pedal will still be available when you do have the cash. If you feel strongly about getting one, cash in the aluminum cans and plastic bottles after a month. That'll get you there.

I'm glad I left the job at the newspaper because it was full of dicks, but I do miss the cashflow
Jeff-7
The WHGR is pretty reasonably priced in my opinion, thinking very seriously about buying one.
Silenced Fred
The WHGR is pretty reasonably priced in my opinion, thinking very seriously about buying one. Considering a TS9 is 100, a TS808 is 150... this is right in the middle and way more versatile
Riptide
Yeah, I'm digging the Green Rhino... you think it would work for a blues driver as well?
Dub-T-123
I think that's pretty much exactly what it's meant for. It's basically a Tube Screamer with more low end.

Yeah but Tube Screamers sound smoother to me where as blues drivers are gritty with more bass.
Californiaman
How does the Way Huge Pork Loin compare to the Way Huge Green Rhino? That's a good question: From my understanding The Pork Loin Overdrive has two distinct tonal pathways. Modern soft clipping overdrive and a modified classic British preamp. Glistening clean transparency. Also sounds great with bass Way Huge Pork Loin While the Green Rhino Overdrive has a 100Hz EQ knob to cut or boost your low end by ±12dB. Curve control to fine-tune the corner frequencies of your tone. Crystal clear leads and punchy, dynamic rhythm tones. Way Huge Websight Green Rhino I'm sure if you look around on the Youtube, you'll find a good demo of each. No side by side as yet though.

tazzboy
If you are going for boss I would go with OD-3 if not also check out the Way Huge Angry Troll.

Of all the Way Huge pedals that I've seen, I thought the Angry Troll was the coolest. Nobody ever really mentions it though..
Kimbabig
Well that's certainly low end. Califroniaman, I'm sorry, but I acidentally misclicked and minused your post completely by mistake. I'll give you two plusses.
Riptide
The reason I was thinking of getting another Boss pedal is because I love my SD-1 so much I just wish it had some more bass presence.
