If the Hofner gang says Roto, I'd do it. Nylons really are super. A sales guy at Sam Ash is a very active bass player. I mentioned them to him, he's hooked on Nylons now. MrNylon Posted April 5, 2011 Author Share Posted April 5, 2011 duane; Have you tracked down the Roto strings for your Hofner? I personally think Nylons sound great on hollow bodied basses. You really can appreciate them when you play a Hofner style bass with Nylons onboard, unplugged. I keep this up, and I'll be looking for a Hofner myself.
