retrosurfer1959 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I can't help you - I fell off the wagon after more than a year of no new guitars and ordered a 55 reissue with p-90's and a wrap bridge, and oh yeah it's a Goldtop. Sorry!
surfpup Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Gotta do what ya gotta do. Everyone should have at least one gold top.
MrNylon Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Man! That's an AX! You can't pass up one of those. That's like the last GAS station for a million light years.
neilpanda Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 I really hate you guys night know. I guess I'll make that trip this week worthwhile!
bschory Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Saw the Epi 1956 reissue gold top (with sweet p-90 action) the other day. Played it for a bit. I felt a brief bit of GAS for it, but then it passed. Epi LPs just never feel or sound quite right to me. Great guitar for the price, I think, and sure played nice, but just didn't WOW me. So now I'm GASing for a Gibson gold top 50s or 60s tribute, provided I can find one and decide which neck profile I want.
