Looking for a Early 50's J-45

Hello:

I am looking for a specific Gibson J-45. About 10 years ago my father passed away and before passing sold the J-45 that had been in the family since new. My grandfather bought the J-45 when he came back from WW2. The guitar was in the Dalton, GA area the last time i saw it. It is a early 50's J-45 with the vintage sunburst finished. This guitar had my father indentification number writen inside of the body (it could be seen from the sound hole). I know this is kind of a shot in the dark but thought i would give it a try. If anyone has this guitar i would be willing to pay for it if you would be willing to sell. Any info or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This could be a really interesting saga! Why did your father sell the guitar? Good luck in your quest. But ya have to know that an early '50's J-45 is one sweet guitar and whoever has it now isn't gonna want to part with it. But ya never know! I do truly hope you find it. Keep us posted on your adventure.
