Just finished watching "Nowhere Boy," from "NetFlix." Really enjoyed it, too. So, I'm now listening to some Beatles and John Lennon's solo stuff. ;>)   CB

OK i tried this before but people only used it for a day...   I'm envisioning a long term thread that gets posted to daily when folks are browsing the forum and listening to tunes. The idea here is

Chick Corea.  All weekend.   At the moment "Trio Music Live in Europe" with Miroslav Vitous and Roy Haynes.

Also some fusion - Return To Forever, "No Mystery" and then the Elektric Band 1st LP.

And I just played  "Three Quartets", one of his finest pure jazz albums with Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez and Michael Brecker.

Corea at his best was a truly brilliant composer with his own completely recognizable musical signature and style.  The quality of his writing is always absolutely top-notch, of the highest standard,  and he never stopped evolving.

Never heard of them but I could tell by listening to them it was the 80's.

Very good Sarge, The Jetzons peaked in the 80's and 90's in the west. They were quite popular in the clubs, unusual for a non cover band, when they played they packed the house..

How can that guy live as long as he has without ever hearing and knowing what "scuttlebutt" means, which should then easily be extrapolated to "Scuttlebuttin' "

Whatta dimwitted Brit.
