Zhangliqun Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 The question says all. Where can you buy replacement mini covers?
Zhangliqun Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 I thought if you take it off they fall apart... They kind of do, which is probably why you don't see them in stores, but if you ever wanted to replace one that was badly scratched up or something, I'm wondering if Gibson makes them available at all.
barton8367 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 From what some of my friends have experienced with finding a pickguard replacement from Gibson I would say is pretty close to impossible to get them from Gibson, but worth popping into a local dealer, they will be able to tell you what ur options are
Searcy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I have a bucket full of them. I get mine from AllParts. http://www.allparts.com/Mini-Humbucking-Pickup-Covers-Chrome-p/pc-0308-010.htm
Zhangliqun Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 I have Allparts plus a few others, not the best alloy for tone. I want Gibson covers.
Searcy Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I have Allparts plus a few others, not the best alloy for tone. I want Gibson covers. Really? What alloy is it made of and what does it do to the tone?
Zhangliqun Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 I don't know. It's just uber-transparent. Other covers muddy it up.
